There's nobody home They're on the streets tonight They don't curse the dark, But they don't see the light They meet on the corner This ritual thing is gonna take their lives The smokin' and drinkin' the pills that they take they think they'll be alright But the tragic part of it all, they don't see The monument of the danger is the thrill of the risk they seek (chorus) Being part of the crowd, the night scene The pressure of peers they say They say it won't happen to me And so another one dies The others can't explain They meet on the corner and cry and do their ritual thing.
