This song is dedicated to Harmony Christian Church in Georgetown Ky. I would like to thank the Director of Worship Ministries at Harmony (Nell Anne Gossett), for her suggestions. Song updated 5/28/10.
After a music layoff, I rediscovered my Fender Strat, purchased a Zoom PS-02 around 2003 to record some cover songs to play along with and help me practice. With help from other musicians in the Zoom PS-02/PS-04 and Fender Discussion Page (FDP) forums, I started putting some of my ideas into songs.

Story behind the song
I originally started this song over a year ago but never could come up with lyrics for the last verse. Then I got the urge to go back and look at this song. When I played it again the lyrics for the last verse fell right out and I wondered why it had been so hard. That weekend I went to church and the minister was starting a new sermon series on Simplifying Our Lives. I thought that was ironic that I had just finished this song which fit that theme. I gave the Director of Worship Ministries the lyrics and a CD and told her she was welcome to use it if she wanted to. She said she was looking for a song to open the service with and thought it fit. She asked me to sing it for the other singers at practice but then said she wanted me to do it.
