Cliff Dawe & Little Big Band( Country Version ) Heavy Traditional Country and Honky Tonk Music <br />Four piece band for club or cabaret work maybe some openers
Cliff Dawe a Traditional Country Artist whose venue is leader, lead vocalist, rhythm guitar player with a band known as "Little Big Band" (Canadian Country Version) . His female counterpart in the act was Anna Perreault. They played bar, lounge, fair, cabaret and rodeo venues throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario Canada! Cliff started this act in 1988 and continues as a solo act today. Cliff misses his music a great deal as recently he has fought a battle with bladder cancer which has prevented him from performing presently, he has successfully done well to control his cancer to remission and would like to get back into the swing of things with his music! The songs chosen for this site are from an album that he and Anna Perreault put together called, "Boomerang"! Anna Perreault sings harmony on the chorus lines and duets with Cliff Dawe on various songs throughout the album. Cliff is an independent artist who came close to being signed with Warner Brothers ( Canada Ltd. ) and was offered a contract by Comstock Record’s executive Frank Fara out of Scottsdale, Arizona, but because of difficulties dealing and commuting back and forth between Canada and USA the deal didn’t materialize! Cliff also had the same experience with Joey Welz of Caprice Records out of Philidelphia, so I guess lightning does strike twice! Hence, there is a situation in getting airplay on , “Main Stream” radio in being an "Independent ” as well as being a “Traditional Country Singer”, and that is why he only sends his music to radio stations and media that are interested in” Independent” artists! During 1990 1991 Cliff received extensive air-play in Europe and Canada from compilations with RDR promotions out of Toronto. Cliff presently gets regular airplay from KSEN Radio in Shelby Montana, Radio Artistopia and indieboom.com Ram Radio Live365.com/stations/lorojo and supercountryradio.com as well as others! The Strength of My Weakness ( 2:59 ) - J. Ruthven - Blue Branch Pub, Hit Kit Pub, D. McBride ( BMI ) As Performed by Cliff Dawe, Anna Perreault & Little Big Band Chorus You’re the strength of our weakness not the rock you were to me You’re the cold in the ashes of the flame I used to be Being half of nothin' ain't too much to brag about I guess we've seen both sides of love, fallin' in and fallin' out Vows we made to one another promising to love each other Seems to me got lost along the way We've learned how to push and shove but we forgot the meaning of Love honor cherish come what may Chorus You're the strength of my weakness not the rock you were to me You’re the cold in the ashes of the flame I used to be Being half of nothin' ain't too much to brag about I guess we've seen both sides of love, fallin' in and fallin' out Interlude Where is all the love and laughter the happily ever after Dreams we both shared but never found They've all turned into regrets wishin' we had never met And stand by me gave way to put me down Chorus You're the strength of my weakness not the rock you were to me You’re the cold in the ashes of the flame I used to be Being half of nothin' ain't too much to brag about I guess we've seen both sides of love, fallin' in and fallin' out Tag: Being half of nothin' ain't too much to brag about I guess we've seen both sides of love, fallin' in and fallin' out
