Singer/songwriter, writing mostly alternative/indie rock music inspired by "serious" alternative artists such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Bloc Party and Bjork. I have a particular disdain for the stereotypical, ostentatious "sex n drugs n rock n roll" aesthetic. I much prefer to concentrate on musical development through texture, structure and harmony, than use flashy 10-minute guitar solos and riff-rock wankery.

Story behind the song
It's about my frustration of personal issues at the time of writing. And some outsider telling me to shut up and get a grip.

Recorded on 02/11/06 live for Future Innovations, Demon FM's specialist student music show.

Produced and mixed by Thom Dowse.
Mastered by Yours Truly.
Lyrics
When the light has gone away And there's no sign of yesterday Won't you just let it be? I don't need to calm down I don't need to smile Won't you just let it be? If this is all you're good for Then you're no good for me Won't you just let me be? If you can't make up your own mind Then you won't make mine as well Won't you just let me be? If this is all it takes to lose your mind Then won't you take it easy for a while?
