Lyrics
YOU MAKE ME STRONG
VERSE
It is cold and rainy outside, but the weather doesn’t dampen my heart
Towards you. You’re my love and my pride. Yet, since you’re merely reading this card,
I’m anxious though I know that you’ll return before too long.
I’m weak without you ‘cause you make me strong.
VERSE
You’ve been gone for almost five weeks. In another one you will come back home.
Look forward to hearing you speak? I’ve fallen for the telephone!
For through it you have hooked me, said with me you do belong.
I’m weak without you ‘cause you make me strong.
BRIDGE
I thought I was strong before I met you.
Being by myself has taught me that
I was but a ninety-eight-pound weakling,
Making no impression where I sat.
INSTRUMENTAL 1st half of VERSE
2nd half of VERSE
When you are with me I feel confident. I do no wrong.
I’m weak without you ‘cause you make me strong.
BRIDGE
I wish we were now beside each other.
You mean so much to me. When you leave
Me alone for too long I regress and
Snivel like a baby on my sleeve.
VERSE
How I can’t wait for your return! I just want to wrap my arms around you!
My stomach continues to churn, and it won’t cease till our rendezvous.
So, if a crowd surrounds you, somehow I’ll push through that throng.
I’m weak without you ‘cause you make me strong.
OUTRO
I’m weak without you ‘cause you make me strong. 2X
