Story behind the song
I can't take full credit for this song. A friend of mine had recently lost her father so she wrote a poem. I asked her to send it to me and turned it into a song. There's actually only about 8 lines from the original poem in the song and they were changed to make it more musical. The chorus and bridge were my add ins (as well as all of the song idea). But I'm not a great lyric writer so a good poem often inspires me to create. Hope you like it!
