Story behind the song
This one started out as a tribute to the drum machine workouts on classic house tracks. Some of those Chicago classics are little more than a 909 going wild. At the same time, I was (and, sometimes, still do) trying my hand at minimal techno and house. I was listening to many compilations, and the following were the inspiration for the title: Can You Jack? (Soul Jazz), Total 6 (Kompakt), Idol Tryouts Vol. 2 (Ghostly Int.), Spectral Sounds Vol. 1 (Spectral), 10+1 Influences (Warp). They're all well worth your time.
