Story behind the song
This song is the modified remix of another entitled "a $20 for a 40 (oz). And the original mix was about a minute longer until the first steps of the remix process begun. Then in the first quarter of 2005 it was promoed on myspace for this freestyle battle that I tried my hand at (failed miserably with, haha). A few months later I finished and threw out this version. As was the case with most of my early songs, the drums served to form the foundation for everything else. It was extreme experimentation back then and later when my skills had grown the snare parts were inspired by old skool MC Hammer. Borne from things Urban, if I am the father then Hiphop is it's mother! PS. Am stopping downloads because I discovered that the site alters the ID3 tags. Sorry bout that. Adios!
