A catchy, though slightly melancholy, number with some tasty harmonica work!

The Foggs.
Hi, we're The Foggs from the Sunshine Coast area of Queensland, Australia. It's a great spot to live and play. You should visit sometime! The band has a reputation for putting on one of the best “Live” shows that you will witness anywhere. Whilst the band has been keeping up with its busy work schedule, we have been in and out of the studio, recording a selection of tracks for their debut Album to be released this year, through Liquid Music. The band have built up a following over the years of gigging, mixing our interpretation of classic Rock, blues and country songs, with their unique and energetic, original compositions.

Story behind the song
Michael wrote this song about his uncle, a WW2 digger, who would talk about his experiences but only up to a point.
Lyrics
Verse 1 As a boy I listened to the talk of war. I was too young to know the meaning it bore. I realised it's what they didn't say, that mattered in any old way. They fought for you, they fought for me. They knew our country just had to be free. Verse 2 Now that I am older, grey hairs of my own I need to thank the men and women too Who kep our country as our home. No complaints, no regrets even when we some times forget. Chorus I need to know where the old men go, when they sit and stare out their lonely window, Sit and stare with a tear in their eye, A smile on their face an a sigh of goodbye. I need to know what they didn't say, I need to know before they all go away. I need to know where the old men go, the old men go. Verse 3 I look ahead to the distant day When I have the choice to choose my way. That choice alone is proof enough That the old men did it right, But they sure did it tough. I only hope before it's my day, I can sit and listen to What the old men didn't say
