I am a firm believer in the personal freedoms that everyone ought to be granted, even if it totally screws them up if they use them.
Frankly I consider drug use to be in general a mistake. But the government has no right to punish people for this since they're only directly hurting themselves. Just as the government has no right to enforce seatbelt laws, since the perpetrator hurts none but themselves. (Check out my philosophy book on the band webpage for more political stuff).
