This song reminds us the good news is that each of us can be involved in God's plan for the earth.
Just me and my PC.
I am a solo musician working with my PC which has a good sound card, and Noteworthy Composer which allows me to record my music. I just want to share the good things that Jesus has given me in life, and one of those is music.
Story behind the song
Earlier generations saw being a Christian as being part of God's army, fighting together for freedom. Put off by the horrors of war, I saw that another image was that of the team whether in sports or in business. So I wrote this song to call people to God's team where the emphasis is not beating the other guy but on working together to accomplish a positive goal with God as our captain.
Lyrics
God's calling us to be part of his team.
Inviting us to share his awesome dream.
He wants to turn the world upside down,
He wants to answer our prayer.
Amazing? Yes! O what largesse,
We're not the best but God's calling us.
God's got a place for us in his team,
no one has too little skill,
no one's too mean,
all we need to know is God's call to us,
all we need to take is his touch.
God's calling us to be part of his team.
Inviting us to share his awesome dream.
He wants to turn the world upside down,
He wants to answer our prayer.
Amazing? Yes! O what largesse,
We're not the best but God's calling us.
There is a part for us in his dream,
no bit of the world's too small
God says that he
longs to reconcile each and every one,
all to harmony, in His Son.
God's calling us to be part of his team.
Inviting us to share his awesome dream.
He wants to turn the world upside down,
He wants to answer our prayer.
Amazing? Yes! O what largesse,
We're not the best but God's calling us.
At the end of time, all nations will be there
gathered round the throne,
our praises fill the air.
We're still be amazed, that God asked us to share
in his awesome dream.
God's calling us to be part of his team.
Inviting us to share his awesome dream.
He wants to turn the world upside down,
He wants to answer our prayer.
Amazing? Yes! O what largesse,
We're not the best but God's calling us.
