I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Story behind the song
They burn you when you when you least expect it.
Lyrics
Old Flames (1) Sometimes they’re funny but most times they’re not Old flames that still smolder that once were so hot They come back to burn you for old times sake You’d be just as well off to be bit by a snake (Chorus) Old flames, old flames………..I talk about Old Flames re-ignite when there’s a drought Old flames, old flames……… I want to shout I wish those old flames would just go and burn out (2) You don’t think about it when you’re out having fun you’re running full tilt, wild and young but sooner or later old flames will return Take care and don’t let them make you burn (Chorus) (3) Now hear this old flame and take it to heart It’s time to move on and make a new start Don’t come back here bragging about what you’ve got You wouldn’t come back here If you were so hot (Chorus) Words and Music © 2006 A.P.
