Christian, Folk Rock, Bluesy Pop conversion statement from formerly secular singer/songerwriter, David Gibbs.
"He was on the darkest road..." (opening line of Show Them Where to Begin, Track 13 on' Undercover'.) Seems an appropriate start to describe the roller coaster journey of David Gibbs. Classical guitar lessons at age 7, followed with self taught piano, aided by his older sister. He had stacks of secular songs collecting dust, "As far back as I can remember." Raised in southern Michigan in the 60's and 70's,, his lifestyle has been influenced all over the map. He has worked with various bands, but always felt "at home" writing solo material. He eventually settled in the great state of Texas "Where I have been longer than anywhere else,... thirty years now." Happily married with three sons, he is a career Piano Technician of some twenty-six years, and is pianist for Community Chapel Worship Center in Hempstead, Tx. That once dark road, has become a well-lit pathway that the Lord leads him down step by step. The Lord Jesus Christ has given him a ton of songs recently, some of which are on 'Undercover', and many others waiting in the wings for future projects. His music is aimed at encouraging everyone...(You are not alone!...Read the Word.) He has a burden for Christians and nonbelievers alike and hopes that the testimonies of his songs would re-enforce their faith.

Lyrics
I just want to tell you, Thank you. You are the love of my life I know I am bound to be able to trust you Creator of joy, of peace and life. There’s nothing above you, clouds are dust at your feet You took it on you To make a way for me, and it’s gonna be A super-life A super-life A super-life I’ve got a super-life...In you! All of the delusion and confusion in this world Doesn’t wreck me anymore I’ve put my trust in the power of heaven I’m seeing things I never saw before You are for me, and always will be I see Able to keep me through the fight I’ll rest assured, I’m in your sight, and I know it’s alright It’s a super-life A super-life A super-life I’ve got a super-life...In you! No matter where I go, there I am It sure is good to know, that you’re the lamb So many things to do, so many things to say Just don’t let my fancy plans, get in the way... Of this super-life A super-life A super-life I’ve got a super-life...In you! In you!...Thank you! Thank you!...Jesus!
