This is from the Wishing Well Collective, it is also an old union hymn. Emcee Lynx arranged this version though.
punk acoustic folk pop punk wishing well collective
Folk punk with a pop punk edge.
I started this sometime in 2004, but I didn't do anything with it until November 2006. I write songs about anything. Some of them aren't true, and some of them are my feelings about some, more or less, political issues.

Lyrics
Solidarity Forever Rewrite When the unions inspiration through the people's blood shall run there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun so what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one? But THE UNION MAKES US STRONG! 'cuz we hold nothing' in common with the greedy parasite who would beat us into serfdom & would crush us with his might! So there's nothing' left for us but to organize and fight! 'cuz the Union makes us strong! 'cuz it's we who plowed the prairies, built the cities where they trade dug the mines & work the factories, endless miles of railroad laid Now we stand outcast an' starving among the wonders that we made?! NO! THE UNION MAKES US STRONG! All the world that's run by lazy drones it's OURS AND OURS ALONE! WE have laid the wide foundations, built it skyward stone by stone, hell yeah; you know you know that it is OURS, not to slave in but to own! While THE UNION MAKES US STRONG! see they have stolen untold millions that they never worked to earn But without our brain and muscle not a single wheel can turn, We can smash their fucking power take our Freedom when we learn that THE UNION MAKES US STRONG! cuz In our hands we have a power greater than their hoarded gold greater than the strength of armies multiplied a thousand fold We can create a new world from the ashes of the old for THE UNION MAKES US STRONG! Progression: Capt on 4. C-G-F-F (slow first part, fast second part). The lyrics were written in the early 1900's by a cat named Joe Ettor, who was an Organizer for the Industrial Workers of the World - the American AnarchoSyndicalist labor union responsible for winning us things like the 8 hour work day. The lyrics are public domain. I modernized them a bit and slapped the short verses together to make something I could spit coherently. The original song has a chorus that goes like this:Solidarity Forever! Solidarity forever! Solidarity Forever! Because the Union makes Us Strong! Submitted by Emcee Lynx
