Story behind the song
Remembering back on my days at Sacred Heart School in Emporia, Kansas, I recalled the total confusion created when what is was being taught as ultimate truth did not jibe with the world as I experienced it. I recently asked a friend who went to the same school, and who was a regular church-goer, if he still believed all those stories. He thought a minute, then said, "What if it is true? I don't want to take any chances..." And I understood how he felt.
