"morphlets". convolution window size is 2^14.
a "morphlet" is my term for a bandlimited impulse the size of a waveset, convolved with the waveset. then not only are waveset transformations possible, but trainlet transforms as well. the transform does not completely implement the possibilities for transform in terms of trainlet synthesis, but the results are pleasing already. i have found these particles, much like the waveset, to follow the morphology of sounds, or the timbral changes moreso than to recreate timbre, pitch or amplitude. additionally, with a huge window like this the results can sound massive. later i have tried using smaller windows (2^10, 2^12) and the results there are somewhat more maleable, not to mention lighter on the processor. i'm going to work on trainlet implementations as soon as i have enough time to take a piss around here. i've got work up to my manubria around here, and unlike water, sound does not travel any faster when submerged in work.
