'It's all your fault.'
acoustic folk country lai
Lyricist on an endless quest for the perfect melody.
I'm afraid I can't claim to be a band, although I have been known to jump on a bandwagon from time to time. No, I'm just a humble lyricist who is in absolute awe of the composers who have stumbled into my life and bothered to wrap a melody around some of my words. I've been attempting to legitimately call myself a lyricist since I was about 14 years old. Have a listen, won't you, and let me know if I qualify.

Lyrics
Look What You Made Me Do © 2007 Greg C. Brown I was gassing up my car at the local Pump N Go When you pulled up right beside me on a day I can’t forget. I tried not to notice you, I'm a man who plays it cool, But you flashed those baby blues at me and I ain't recovered yet. CHORUS Look what you made me do, Girl, you know it's all your fault. I tried to hide my heart, But dang if I didn't get caught. I'd sworn off love for good, I been burned a time or two. But you caught my eye and changed my mind, Look what you made me do. Well it didn't take too long til we started stepping out, I tried to act indifferent but it was hard to fight the urge. I had things well in hand, or at least that's what I thought, But I slipped and somehow wound up at the altar of the church. REPEAT CHORUS Look what you made me do... BRIDGE I thought I was stronger than that, Never meant to fall so hard. Soon I was hanging up wallpaper And planting flowers in the yard. It's been almost thirty years and the kids are grown and gone, The house is ours again and now it's back to me and you. The sweet taste of your kiss hasn't changed in all that time, And I close my eyes and thank the Lord for what you made me do. CHORUS Look what you made me do, Girl, you know it's all your fault. I tried to hide my heart, But dang if I didn't get caught. I'd sworn off love for good, I'd been burned a time or two. But you caught my eye and changed my mind, Look what you made me do. You caught my eye and changed my mind, Just look what you made me do.
