'A restless spirit kept inside never can be satisfied.'
acoustic folk country lai
Lyricist on an endless quest for the perfect melody.
I'm afraid I can't claim to be a band, although I have been known to jump on a bandwagon from time to time. No, I'm just a humble lyricist who is in absolute awe of the composers who have stumbled into my life and bothered to wrap a melody around some of my words. I've been attempting to legitimately call myself a lyricist since I was about 14 years old. Have a listen, won't you, and let me know if I qualify.

Lyrics
She’s Decided (To Move On) © 2006/2007 Greg C. Brown The envelope was sealed and stamped, and wet from cold November rain. She dropped it in the letter slot then hailed a cab at 4th and Main. She knew that when he read those words, his heart would prob’ly break in two, But it was time to leave that town; it’s what she felt she had to do. Thursday brought an autumn wind, waltzing down the avenue, A boy who hoped he’d found true love was hurt to read the honest truth. And yet it came as no surprise for she had not concealed the signs. He knew what that letter said; he felt it coming for some time. (CHORUS) THAT WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT SHE EVER FELT THAT WAY. SHE'D BEEN SEARCHING FOR HERSELF AND THAT WAS NOT THE TIME OR PLACE. SHE LOOKED AT ALL THE RIGHT AND WRONGS, THAT WAS NOT WHERE SHE BELONGED, ONCE AGAIN, SHE DECIDED TO MOVE ON. Now she’s in a Texas town, three years as a banker’s wife, She paints a smile on every day, but she’s not happy with her life. Longing to reclaim the past and chase the dreams she used to hold, She steals away into the night and leaves behind another note. (CHORUS) AND THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT SHE'S EVER FELT THIS WAY. SHE'S BEEN SEARCHING FOR HERSELF AND THIS IS NOT THE TIME OR PLACE. SHE'S LOOKED AT ALL THE RIGHT AND WRONGS, THIS IS NOT WHERE SHE BELONGS, ONCE AGAIN, SHE'S DECIDED TO MOVE ON. (BRIDGE) A restless spirit kept inside Never can be satisfied. What she wants she can’t be sure, But she knows there must be something more. (REPEAT CHORUS) AND THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME… …ONCE AGAIN, SHE’S DECIDED TO MOVE ON. She’s decided to move on.
