I am a simple musician finding ways to be heard...so here is the first, maybe first of concern. If anything I hate the bland monotony of some of the popular bands' lyrics and even music...so I tend to attempt to redefine what is to be heard.

Story behind the song
The motivation for this song is a tale of love vs. obedience to the will of God. It is a tale that still goes on as I write this description. When a boy and girl of my age are blameless even before God, and cannot be accepted by either's parents, forced to hold onto their ties in secret...this is the conflict that evolves. "Will I sit here and lie and enjoy this love, or shall I stand up for my beliefs, for my love, and for myself?" It's obvious in my own heart, but I realize it is not me that is solely involved in this matter. Obedience is this conflict, between what I've wanted for so long...and what will last me for eternity. It's time to choose...and the ones who have the most to lose are the ones that truly understand God's calling to its extent.
