Story behind the song
seriously, ive spent a good while working out how this song would work. ive had a ton of revisions on how to introduce it. about the only thing bothering me is that the hits in the beginning may sound cheesy and accordian or circus-like. i hope it doesnt now that ive somewhat altered it. the main riff, C-E-G-F-D-[D#]-[C#] sort of hit me when i thought what it might feel like to be there in the ocean when R'lyeh or Cthulhu rises from the depths... just the power of that upheaval. i think it still sounds too muted from what i heard in my head, but i didnt wanna go to complete dissonance. i guess a story for it is about R'lyeh rising, followed by Cthulhu. the muted end was just how i prefer to end; it has no real story element... unless you'd think of seeing the Dread Priest walk Earth from the stars.
