Story behind the song
The pen and a blank page, inspired me to write. Tempting me, urging me, pulling me ever so gently into the vast chasm that is the mind, the page and pen work vigorously to get me closer to an idea, that somehow will shape the next few momnets of my life. As I stare out the window, the sun beaming in on me, I become dizzy, afraid of being without love, without shape, without thought, but somehow, almost unwillingly, I persist. And as I begin my journey I am reminded of childhood, of Ego, the Id, the unconscious thought that is human-kind for our first individually long, but collectively short beginnings, and I drift into the world we now know as Dream. Refreshed, I awake anew...ready, desperate, determined, and forthright I sit and think, not knowing, that which will soon spew forth in the form of ink on blank canvas. And so it begins. "Night time’s arrogance..."

Lyrics
Night time’s arrogance, speaks softly to my ears,
Whispered thoughts tell me, who I want to be.
Concert silence sings Fantasia through my mind,
Help me now…Whoa, oh, oh.
Tuesday morning light brings Christmas to my door.
Waves of candlelight come crashing to the floor.
Microwave your memory, remember me no more,
Whoa, oh, oh…Whoa, oh, oh.
Restless childhood sends shivers down my spine,
Empty shadows stand where I ought to be.
Sacred Jesus alter ego screams out loud,
Show me how…Whoa, oh, oh.
Christmas evening light brings darkness to my door,
Crowns of candlelight go crashing to the floor,
Isolated innocence bring angels here no more,
Whoa, oh, oh…Whoa, oh, oh.
All my time…All my life – shattered through the door.
All my mind…All my pride.
Christmas star-shine brings exhaustion to my door,
Bedtime candles dance so softly on the floor,
Hollow insecurities do wonders for my soul,
Whoa, oh, oh…Whoa, oh, oh.
Whoa, oh, oh…Whoa, oh, oh.
Whoa, oh, oh…Whoa, oh, oh.
