Story behind the song
Tumhi ho mata, pita tumhi ho is an traditional indian bhajan in raag bhairavi. Raag Bhairavi corresponds to the Phrygian mode and thus I'm melting the original melody with spanish and latin elements. The spanish guitar is a perfect fit to the udu drum (clay pot drum). Together they add an enormous drive to the song. I really love the wind instruments in this song: an Alto and a Tenor saxophone backed by a trumpet section.
