Written after the shooting at the Ward Parkway mall.
Story behind the song
The whole shooting freaked me out since I was on my way to that mall right as it was happening. This song pretty much just discusses the different reactions people have to this kind of thing, from store owners to passers-by and those who witnessed the whole thing and people who heard it on the news.
Lyrics
Tall man with a big gun
Hunting the parking lot
Two dead, laying face-down
In a puddle of their own blood
Sirens by the dozen
Taping off the crime scene
Ambulences fixing
All these undeserving
People, so confusing
This can't be good for business
Location, location, location
This won't be so convenient
With a cop car blocking the entrance
Apologies and hate crimes
Policemen and loud cries
Evidence and red stains
Witnesses to all claim
This shit is so confusing
It's supposed to happen somewhere else
This kind of thing don't happen much
But it's such a lovely neighborhood
Who'd think it'd be so close to home?
This can't be good for business
Reputation, reputation, reputation
This won't seem so appealing
With our customers' blood on the pavement
