This is an orchestral version of a piano piece I wrote entitled 'Shattered Dreams.' Basically it s about how I got all depressed and everything because I realized the perfect picture of life I painted in my head could never be real.
I am a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in music composition. This goes without saying but I love music (listening, composing, studying, performing).

Story behind the song
I wrote the piano piece in early 2006 for my composition lessons and wrote this for a sightreading session with the Honolulu Symphony. This was my first real serious orchestral piece, so I was excited and decided to experiment. Too bad I couldn't get the recording (it's a professional symphony); I think it went really well even though there were a few orchestration problems. UPDATE: This recording is new as of 08/19/2007, created using sounds from EWQLSO Gold (for the orchestra), GPO (for the marimba and viola pizz/tremolo), and a soundfont (for a snare drum played with brushes).
