full speed ahead, light and playful
classical composer band symphonic wind ensemble
I have been writing and doing arrangements for about 15 years (never seriously until I decided to go back to school and persue this "hobby" in 1997) Since 1997 I have written several pieces some for piano, some for wind ensemble, and some for orchestra. I am very comfortable doing wind ensemble arrengements of pop music for high school bands (marching/pep primarily). Virtually all the plays I shall post are computer playback (thus some instruments may sound "non-characteristic."

Story behind the song
We rejoin the second child of the first movement and watch him play and grow up- this time from the parents perspective. We watch the child go through the teen years and the drunken revelry of that age, only again to see it develop into the bitterness and sarcastic moods of the early teens as realization sets in. It continues on until again we see the birth of yet another child (grand-child of the first movement's original child) and the ensueing joy and playfulness it brings to both the adults.
