Acoustic folk - coming home story.
Story behind the song
An old man told me a story about how he left his little town back in the 1950's to go out west to the boom town to get work. And how he regretted not coming back sooner.

Time And Tide

Time and tide are always moving, every river to the sea
Some things are always changing in the end
And I’ve checked my rambling heart, it’s time for me to go home
To spend what I’ve got left with some old friends
Well I’m leaving Alberta and I’ll be headed towards the east
Back to the home I’ve missed for all these years
And I’ll stay back there forever and never more son will I roam
Surrounded by the people from my home
I should get there by the summer, everything will be alright
You could meet me where we would be alone
Then again after twenty years I should realize
I have waited far too long to come home
