Alvin Butler: I am from Montgomery, Alabama and I’m 19 years old. I am the youngest of four children and the only boy. I was raised by a single mother after my father died when I was 4 years old. I am a solo R&B artist but have recently teamed up with my sister who’s a rapper known as “LADYFI”. I write and arrange my own music and design mine and my sister’s performing outfits. I play trumpet and French horn and I song in the school’s choir for 3 years. I’ve been singing R&B and inspirational music for the past five years. One of the main reasons I chose to go into the music business, (other than my love for music), is because I want to show the younger generations that you don’t have to walk around with negative images, “gang-banging” or selling drugs in order to shine. God said, “He gave us all a gift”, and I feel my generation needs to be encouraged to aspire for theirs. Algenae Butler: I am from from Montgomery Alabama and I am 23 years old. I am a solo artist but have recently teamed up with my brother DIGI-DOO (pronounced DIGGIE-DO), who’s an R&B singer. I have been performing locally and around the southern region and am now ready to move to another level in my music career. I am now seeking a recording contract. I write my own songs with hopes of learning to arrange and produce one day. My ultimate goal is to bring some new “flavor” to the music industry. Through my music, I hope to help teach our young the necessity for self-respect, self-esteem and confidence.
