Lyrics
Legacy Once in a while High above the rest A leader, a legend, And one of the best Comes along, Soon not to be forgot Time moves on and brings The winds of change The torch is passed To a different name To carry on, And give all that they’ve got You know we all fade away Leaving just memories Of who we were in our day Yeah we all fade away Leaving our legacy Showing others the way You needn’t be famous Or even a star You’ve got a legacy No matter who you are It’s up to you, Let everyone see your light We all have the power And we have the chance To sit on the side Or join in the dance it's up to you, So let your flame burn bright You know we all fade away Leaving just memories Of who we were in our day Yeah we all fade away Leaving our legacy Showing others the way Yeah, we all fade away We all fade away ©2007 Marc Bear Grindle, BMI, All rights reserved
