"Santa's Goin' South For Christmas" was one of those FUN Songs ya write, record, then forget about for YEARS! It's a couple decades old..& when Producer Gene Allen wanted me to do a Christmas CD, I dug through all my old cataloge..& we found this Demo I did with Co-Writer Bill Dudley over the years. I figured Southerners had their Own Slant on how Santa Operated, South of the Mason-Dixon Line...& might like Their Own Santa Song Down Hereabouts. Santa ended up behaving a LOT like Jimmy Buffett as the Ad-Libs began to fly..there was really NO Script for what went down on this recording..& it was Pure FUN as "Southern Santa" came to life. (I think even Yankees'll enjoy this one!)
