Story behind the song
This song was somewhat a turning point for the band as it saw the first inclusion of noise and dischordance. This actually came about during an early rehearsal when we were really drunk and messed up the solo but decided that it actually sounded better that way. This version was recorded live in 2000 and features Tony Leadley on Bass and Mike Kewley on Drums.
Lyrics
Disposess myself, Disposess my bones Still I'm aching hard, Turning into stone Find a wire inside, Bring forth an effigy Hurt the family name Shame the family tree Cinnamon to steal this pain, Maybe it's why I'm not working Methadone frozen in my veins, Maybe it's why I'm not working
