Story behind the song
Östan sol Västan måne (East of the sun West of the moon) was a Swedish band based in the prog movement of the 60 and 70 which turned into a sort of jazz fusion band in the end.
This is osvm at its very best, and if u can get past the cacophony in the intro it gets down to some intricate 7/4 stuff and heavy groove.
I cut it down somewhat but it still over 11 mins long .
This recording was made live to a packed audience at the culture house in Stockholm, one Sat afternoon in Novenber 1976.
the recording is copied from a casette tape taken from the master 2 track (I think), thus the somewhat dubious sound.
