Story behind the song
In the early 70s I taught the first of these choruses to the children at the Lardeau Valley Bible Chapel. They enjoyed it and continued to use it. I'd originally written it as a teenager when I'd also written the second chorus.

First Chorus: Jesus is Calling for you
Jesus is calling for you
Yes for you and for you.
Children and old people too,
He is calling for you.
Certain the news it is true
Jesus died for me and you
Now he has risen anew
And he calls, dear friend, for you.
Second Chorus: The Love of God
In ev’ry little breath of air
And in the deepest sea,
The love of God is ev’rywhere:
His love for you and me.
When times are hard or when things go wrong,
His love still still shines before us
To lift us up and make us strong
And lead our joyful chorus.
