The words to this tune got their start in the fall of 2006,
as I left the grocery store on a cold day, walking past a
few cars in the parking lot with their motors idling, presumably so the drivers could stay warm while they waited for the shoppers.
Lyrics
Babies are bein' born
Farmers are growin' corn
The world spins round
Day after day they warn
But we seem to carry on
The world spins round
How are we doin'?
How are we doin today?
As stewards of the earth
How are we doin'?
How are we doin' today?
As teachers of our youth
In the ways of livin', livin' green
Don't you know we so have got to learn
about livin' green?
Don't you know we so have got to learn?
Won't you say maybe that we can learn?
Don't you know we so have got to learn
about livin' green?
