Story behind the song
Basically I want to show how the pedal works in context so:
I played a rosewood alder strat with area '61 Dimarzio hum canceling pickups through two fuchs pedals, each set at low and higher gain stages, same eq and same volume, I also matched the output volume in bypass and engaged to the amp volume, out of the pedals into the clean channel of a Fender Limited Hot Rod deluxe with a Jensen speaker, the Mic was a Royer 122V into a groove tubes VIPRE into Protools at 44.1/24 mono. No compression or eq was used. Every guitar sound is the exact same guitar, same channel, just varying degrees of saturation on the pedals. on the highest gain tracks i changed pickups to the bridge pickup, otherwise all on the neck pickup. The left guitar playing rhythm is the exact same guitar that plays a quick melody at the top and then you hear the pedal drop in at the same place on all takes. I basically punch in at 33 seconds in and each track has progressively more gain. Track 3 is actually slide and tracks 4 and 5 are for me over the top but lots of fun! You can see color is sweet and clean, saturation is great and playability is amazing anmd the dynamic range is guite touch sensitive and sweet. I will do some more tracks as time allows over the next few weeks, different styles nad grooves, etc... plus when i get my Fuchs combo I have some ideas.
Again to be clear, no eq, no compression, just a good mic, a decent amp and a great pedal!
I am just messing around so all the solos and such are just 1st take goofing around stuff but fun, some clams but overall i just wanted to show how fun these pedals are.
