An early '80s instrumental guitar-based ambient accident. Not originally intended to be a 'song', but only a test of a new Analog 8-track recorder I had just bought. But it turned out kinda nice.

This one was composed and recorded in an unusual setting. I had gone into this country bar where I was playing in the house band one Saturday afternoon to change some strings, do some equipment maintenance and check out a new Fostex 8-track reel-to-reel I had just bought. The restaurant was really busy that day, but I decided to record something anyway. So, I just started recording...entirely through headphones with no mics (except to record the cymbal rolls after the lunch rush had died). "Midnight In Nirvana" is the result of that session. It's not a particularly good cut, but considering that I just threw it together in the middle of a busy bar, I thought it was an interesting piece. I played all the instruments...
