Story behind the song
Time is kind of whimsical little song that has a lot to it if you listen. One day I was getting ready kick back, relax and have a little “me time” and I just started singing this little tune to myself “Time for me!” Of course, Holy Spirit used that to get my attention and I immediately realized that my time is not my own and I could just as easily use that free time to sow into the spirit. What happened was, Holy Spirit had me take that little tune and put a whole different spin on it. Time for me to find out who I am! Time for me to get on with right now! Not just time for me to goof off. Something else that was cool about this song for me is that I can look at the words to the song and directly relate it to when Yashua was talking to his disciples about only concerning themselves with today. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” In other words, “The time is now and now is enough to think about.”
