Looking for a song about sh*biscuits and/or golden chickens? Hasenyager combines comedy and music in order to realize your dreams.
Hasenyager is an Americanized version of Haschenjager, which is German for 'rabbit hunter.' I am that hunter, or huntress, if you will, and I take my profession very seriously. Which means that, actually, I don't hunt rabbits. I do, however, make half-assed music with Audacity, and upload it onto SoundClick.

Story behind the song
Parental advisory: contains the insinuation that Rama needs to grow a pair. Inspired by Hindu mythology, sort of. It's about ambiguity, or something. I was just like, "You know what? Lotuses are pretty sweet." I used the inner peace chord, anyway, which made me feel kind of posery. "Look over here, Lotus-eyes." --Hanuman But seriously; every single character in the Ramayana considers suicide at some point. Rama's just all, "O noez I cannot haz Sita?" and almost doesn't even rescue her. At least he has character faults, though, which you can't say about a lot of movie heroes today. It's all RAMBO SMASH! with them. Woah. I just realized that it would be really amusing if you replaced every mention of Rama in the Ramayana with Rambo. It would be the Ramboyana.
Lyrics
Just a yellow lotus Shunted on the sparkling sea The waves are green and grey and brown My ambiguity If only there were soil I would cling for life In strife and toil I'd hold on Until my death grip was released Because I'd cling with my hundred hands And bite with my fifty heads I would not have been weeded out Until made good and dead Just a vase on the window sill Reflecting deep and dense I cannot make me move a limb In my ambivalence Don't see the sun until after I see it The imprint on my lotus-eyes I grow like weeds and am just as annoying Shifting on stiff elongated thighs I am coarse and inflexible And cannot sit like a lotus But I can float like a lotus And I can grow like a lotus Do I bloom on a plane of indifference Or is the sea alive? Maybe the sea is alive I don't think the sea is alive But I will cling with my forty hands And bite with my twenty heads I will not have been weeded out Until made good and dead Or I will float the dusty motes Of bland uncertainty Press my face up to the window Glean what I can glean Just a golden monkey Jumping o'er the sparkling sea To Sita in her gilded cage, A waiting rescuee But Rama like a verdant moon Is acting all emo He just wants to give up and die He needs to grow some gonads One of my hands is on my heart Another, behind my back One of my hands is flat in peace Another is flicking you off Nine of my hands are smoothing my hair Seven are shading my eyes One of my hands is closing my nose Another is clamping my mouth Two of my hands fan out my ears Two are trying to plug them Twenty only tread water Twenty more clench into fists A vulture ripped off the last thirty four And now I'm growing them back The starfish Ravana lies in wait To destroy others and himself And he will cling with his twenty hands And bite with his ten heads He will not have been weeded out Until made good and dead He is the plaque, grainy and black Not yellow as the sun And when I see him growing back I turn around and run Because I'm not that person I do not feel that way Don't want to be a flash of red In a world of stoic gray I'm Just my wide open yellow eyes Shunted on the sparkling sea The tones of green and grey and brown Are not my deity... any more But I will reach with my hundred hands And speak with my twenty heads I'll let myself be weeded out If something can be said I am coarse and inflexible I cannot sit like a lotus But I can float like a lotus And I can grow like a lotus And I can breathe like a lotus And I can weep like a lotus And I can sing like a lotus And I can be like a lotus
