DJ Double L I make beats on the double!
I am DJ Double L. I started making beats November of '06 and I didn't start DJing until about March of '07. So, I'm definitely new to the beat producing and DJing scene, but I am definitely no stranger to music though! My first love for beats came from hearing Rahzel beat box. From that I listened and learned to beat box and with that I then went to the beat production scene. I like making beats from scratch, remixes, making beats using samples, man...pretty much anything that has to do with a beat. Ha!

Story behind the song
It's funny how you think you know people sometimes. How you think that you can trust certain people to be there for you and tell you what's up. Whenever you let your guard down in trusting those people is when you get disappointed. You try to give them chances to tell you what's up and not bull crap you, but all they do is try to talk their way out of it and they end up inflating the lie(s) or secret(s) even more. They try to deny what you already know. The strings in this song express exactly how I feel as in them being profound during the verses, but in the hook they have a background, but epic feel to them. I feel that is where the denial lies. I try to call someone out, but they don't come out with it. The worst part of it is you know what they are hiding, but they cleverly avoid it. Hence the metaphor with the strings…profound and background, but epic. The piano in this song represent the tension and disappointment. It is constant, tried, and true. The piano plays throughout the song. It plays throughout every bar, measure, and beat. It shows that there is always tension and disappointment along the way. Although, it may calm down, but only to come back around again in full circle. Those are the main components of the song and it feels great to be able to express exactly what I feel in a song. I have finally accomplished that. I have been able to get the general feeling here and there in a song, but this song captures it all.
