N 2008 My monkey spends all day with me He’s just as faithful as can be My monkey is my only friend I know he’ll be there at the end My monkey never ever sleeps Into my fevered dreams he creeps My monkey’s there when darkness falls He joins me as I climb the walls But sometimes monkey gets so mad He screams and shrieks and acts real bad He keeps demanding to be fed He makes me wish that I was dead But once he’s eaten, he’s just fine We stay together all the time We’ll be together til the end My monkey is my bestest friend (Instr) But somedays he just scares me so I try to hide, no place to go My monkey finds me anywhere And pins me with a red eyed glare But when I feed him it’s alright We hug and hold each other tight On one another , we depend My monkey is my closest friend
