Blessings to All ~Kathryn About Kathryn Toyama Long after leaving the pressures of classical piano competition, and more than 25 years of personal transitions and many life lessons, Kathryn finally returned to the piano for catharsis, expressing her heartfelt truths through her music with the belief that musical vibrations which are emotionally positive can reach the heart and improve how we relate to each other. Based on the results of scientific auditory research which reveal how emotional resonance can be felt through music, she hopes that her music can evoke a sense of personal healing and spiritual connection. Only fade-outs were applied at the end of “Carefree” and “Floating on Dreams”. Kathryn composes her music by letting the melodic structure develop intuitively. She says that before the melody can come to her, she must first open her heart, and then her musical expression begins to unfold. In today's wonderful digital era, recording artists are blessed with the liberty to edit and enhance their compositions, but on this first album, it was important for Kathryn to offer the entire truth of her emotional journeys.
