Artist Information Biography A southern upbringing and Elvis, Merle and Conway and Cash always on the radio was how Country music became my musical core. I played drums and sang all through high school but chose the military career instead of music. I served 11 years as an Army Officer, won the Bronze Star Medal for actions in the Gulf War, and worked in the corporate world, before I started writing songs about a year ago. Unexpectedly, lyrics and melodies were just there and I just had to get them out. It wasn't until I received what I am convinced was a sign from above that I realized I had to follow this new path to wherever it may lead. Living in New York is a great experience but it can be scary at times. I was confronted by four guys late one night on the subway. All of a sudden, someone who I am convinced was my guardian angel intervened and before I could even even thank him; he was gone. What finally showed me that music was my path, was seeing my guardian angel on the subway again recently. He was sleeping on one of the benches in the same subway car that I was in. and didn't even say a word. I had to see was that cradled in his arms, like he was protecting his most prized possession, was a beat up, worn out and well used old electric guitar! At that moment I knew. The next day, I received a songwriting contract offer. So here I am. Thanks so much for stopping by

Lyrics
When the Wind Calls writen by: Weston James Copyright: 2008 Weston James Music VERSE I On a steel horse, two wheels Roar of thunder, underneath I start to come alive Like I can almost fly Wind in my hair, out on the road No destination, I'll just go where I go Where the road meets the sky My spirit starts to rise CHORUS God made me with a different plan Can't settle down, I'm not a family man Love if I'm able, but please understand That when the wind calls, I'mback on the road again VERSE II Broken hearts, along the way Some were given, some I gave away No regrets, for good-bye We had some fun for awhile Deep down, we knew that I couldn't stay Matter of time, before she called me away A call I couldn't deny No matter how hard I tried CHORUS Cause I hear the wind call and I need to ride It's a question of when, it's not a question of why I'll love when I'm able, Baby I'll try That when the wind calls, I'm gone, and Baby don't cry BRIDGE And God only knows where I'm headed or what I'll become My future's uncertain, like a fugitive it's me on the run But I'm only running from myself and it's me that's holding this gun I gotta keep going, and I feel I'll never be done CHORUS 'Cause God made me with a different plan Can't settle down, I'm not a family man I'll love if I'm able, but please understand That when the wind calls, I'm back on the road again I'll try not to hurt you, I promise you I'll do what I can But when the wind calls I'll leave you and be gone again Yes and when the wind calls it's me be all alone again
