WELCOME IN THE BLUESBOX ------------------------------------ Thank you all for the support and the interest shown in our music since we started out in December 2006. BLUESBOX is a group of friends playing together, recording and uploading their stuff in the internet. It's not a traditional band ..... maybe it's more like an independent recording label. Everything is done without profit being involved, though. It costs us no big money to do it. I tell you: we would buy our instruments and use our time to play them anyway, wouldn't we ? There you go, as silly as it can be ..... we just do it for the sake of music. Unluckily we can be very lazy: most of the things are totally improvised ..... and recorded in a very basic way ..... but does it really matter ? Nobody's perfect ... right ? Thanks for your visit ..... we appreciate it. And remember .... you can listen, download, broadcast everything for free. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's who is who ..... _________________ - T-BONE MUSTANG a.k.a. Story behind the song
Steve "the healer" Taggart, bass player of the Smoking Guitar Band, was a very good father & husband but he wasn't making enough money to support his family. Blues music wasn't the quickest way to become rich & famous ... His wife was expecting a lot, though, and she quickly realized her dreams didn't come true. She dumped him during a phone call, when he was a thousand miles from home. On the way back to the Motel where the band was awaiting for him, "the healer" got very drunk and sang this tune for the first time. He drove very fast, listening to a tune called Drive My Car (I like to) ... he crashed into a tree. Luckily he was still all in one piece. He got a ride back to the Motel and when Police questioned him about his car being left In The Street, he told them the car was stolen the night before.
