acoustic rock, organic, flavorful, tasty, home-grown, fun
first off, we apologize for the name. terribly uncreative. we like jcb, but formally, we'll be going with the jon camp band. second, thanks for checking us out. we hope you like the music. an acoustic-based, organic rock and roll that may offer an alternative to more-of-the-same. if you have any thoughts or comments, write us at jon@joncampband.com.

Story behind the song
i wrote this story after my buddy's bachelor party. what unfolded was one of the most special and bizzare things .... it was about 11am. we had just finished a serious game of paintball and had hit the local bar. we're sucking back our second or third beer and all of a sudden, this older guy -- maybe 65 -- stands up and starts singing. an old tune, too. maybe something out of the '20s. and he was GOOD. anyhow, we started talking and it turned out, we had a lot in common. this song is about that day.
Lyrics
it’s a rainy tuesday afternoon i’m out of work and i don’t know what to do turn on the tv try to be all i can be but i get bored quick with the same old shit and like the rest of you i’m sick of it all being the same day day in and out and out and in we go and as it goes well so it goes and goes ‘til we follow and so it comes that i must go but to tell the truth i just don’t know if i ever will same rainy tuesday afternoon still home and no clue what to do nothing on the tv but cartoons and yesterday’s news motivate and head outside surprised to find a cloudless sky i missed resting on the inside and side to side we slide we ride across the tide of time and time to time it’s fine not to follow and so it comes that i must go gone at once then once i know i’m off off to find a little ripple in my mind slip a little ripple in my mind i’m looking for a ripple for my mind throw another rock and get a ripple in my mind i hit a bar not far from here ordered a beer and peered over the rim at him he was me at sixty years i said hello we started to chat he told me stories of where he was at sick of it all being the same day and so he sang a song a song that came from god knows when and when he was done we all applauded him and then it came that i had come to the right place at the right time to find find a little ripple in my mind slip a little ripple in my mind i’m looking for a ripple for my mind throw another rock and get a ripple in my mind
