the grains have an expodec envelope which increases in size over the course of the piece. i'm going through the picture 16 times, switching direction every 4 times through. the gamut is different, relating to an 11 tone just scale derived from relationships between the set of 1-8. the duration of the grains (not the envelope size) is related to this gamut.
