Light hearted but twisted outlook of the world expressed through music
No band as such. Just me. On my own. I spent a couple of years muddling through life after being put out of work. I had too much pride to let the authorities to pay my way in life so worked day and night working all over the UK to support my family. One year in particular was very bad, so much so I couldn't even afford a token gift for my wife on Valentines day. I picked up a guitar which had been gathering dust for 10 years and wrote "Light the Way". This was my gift to my wife. From that day I have been writing songs and trying to express myself a little.

Story behind the song
My wife's cousin started up a relationship with a man on the re-bound. He promised her the world but she wanted him to back off but he couldn't until one day her new boyfriend went to see his ex-girlfriend and made the excuse of "I'm going to the pub" - while there were extenuating circumstances (isn't that always the case) it was that one white lie that turned the relationship sour. The song is about that one white lie and a man who is watching the one thing he wants the most in the world "slip away"
Lyrics
As time skips away. Verse-1 I didn't want to hurt you and I didn't really try. I never meant to cause you pain or even make you cry. Only meant to be a part of your life. I am sorry I messed up because of a white lie. Chorus As time slips away As time slips away As time slips away As time slips away Verse-2 I chased you for so long I didn't know what I had. I thought I was someone but I made you feel bad. You took your time I pushed and pushed I was so impatient I had to rush. Repeat Chorus Bridge I'm so sorry I got it all wrong so messed up I forced a goodbye I wasn't quick enough to win you over I was so stupid, not to try. Repeat Verse-1
