No band, really. Just me and a couple family members in a bedroom studio.
I am a singer/songwriter at heart, but reality has me working a full time job. I don't play in a band, but love to sit around a campfire sharing my songs with anyone willing to listen.
Story behind the song
A friend of mine, Bob Sarrels, called me one day and said he had been working on a song but could get any further with it. I came over and we wrote the rest of it that day. This is it.

After dark - it's kinda scary,
Sittin' here waitin' for a hog to stroll on by.
Listen up, corn's a crunchin'
Big ol' sow out there a munchin'
Pull my longbow back and let the arrow fly.
Now I've got blood on the tailgate.

To get it back home and fix it up chicken fried.
A pile of biscuits and red eye gravy,
Collared greens and, just maybe,
A big ol' piece of my woman's apple pie.
Good Lord, it's whitetail season,
Sittin' here - my toes are freezin',
But there ain't no other place I'd rather be.
Big buck's comin' in real slow,
Two more steps and I'll let go
Then I'll haul him on back to camp and let my buddies see....
