I am playing the stringed bass, piano, guitar, singing , and using past clips from previous recordings I have made over the last forty years including my groups
I have played the piano as long as I can remember . I was singing harmony and playing in Jessup Md. by 1950 in a bar there when I was five . My experiences in my career have been amusing and painful . I do have recordings in the past that may or may not come out in this medium as I am truly unsure about the copywrite laws . I know that I have the rights to my own material to an extent but the fact is that several companies are selling my material online and neither I nor my publishers are seeing any rewards from that much as the "Underground Radio" experience of the sixties till 1975 as BMI or ASCAP didn't log FM play . I have decided not to sell a product here but exibit my own compositions ,playing ,paintings, and past recordings that are acceptable in this context .

Story behind the song
I had the good fortune when I was in College a LACC to attend lectures at UCLA . One of the lectures featured Karhanse Stockhausen , an electronic composer who I had admired since I heard him in 1959 . At one point , after taking notes during the lecture , we listened to a tape he brought of "Kontact" , one of his more recognisable compositions( haha ..yes , it is possible ). Anyway , at a certin section we all broke into laughter . The sound he had produced was a nasal , pig like thing and slowed and got lower and lower producing a comical effect . I don't really know if he meant this or not . In this second part of "Away Jazz..." while editing , I heard a similar sound and also cracked a smile . I wasn't trying to imitate Stockhausen but music can be funny . One of the better points he made about electronic music , his music , was that organised sound and noise are a way we get from one time to another , like a time machine . Memory can be like that , laughter and tears in music and past time .
