A VERY rough demo, for critique purposes only
alternative pop rock country christian gospel conemporary christian
I'm a songwriter with a few tools, a love for a good hook, and the desire to make music. I have been writing for years, but when I became a Christain, suddenly almost all of my work became to, for or about God. It's not something I conciously chose, it just happened. We write what we're given I suppose.

Lyrics
How am I to sing of your Father's heart Or talk of the fruits of a child like faith When the furthest thing from my mind right now Are grown up words like worship and praise I've got a bruised ego, and a skinned up heart That I suffered from my fall And a hurting soul in need of a mend that makes me feel so small So I kick my legs and I pound your chest Like an insolent son or daughter. Just a kid, a little kid Learning to love my Father Could this be a form of worship, Lord Like David and his many laments? Or maybe just the blues, from the 'terrible twos' Of a kid who say's 'gimme' and expects to get chorus 2 bridge: You just stay and take it Patiently you wait As I begin to come around And my temper tantrum abates Final chorus: I'm trading in my ego, for a filled up heart and I'm healing from my fall My hurting soul is beginning to mend And I'm feeling a little less small I fold at the legs, collapse on your chest A surrendered son or daughter I'm just a kid, just a kid Learning to love my Father(X3)
