Well as I say at my shows, in a nutshell, its a dumbed-down version of 'Rockstar' by Nickelback, because Nobody got the satire in that song, so I made it easier for the population to understand

Grew up on a hearty helping of both hair metal and folk rock. So, as a creature of my influences I tend to write heartfelt lyrics and start the writing process
Diverse, in a typical gig, you'd hear covers of bob dylan, neil young, and originals in the same vein, for instance, "Let it Rain" or "Once Upon A Sunset" and then you'd hear covers by Velvet Revolver and Bon Jovi, and originals of the like, eg. "Minion of Thor", and "Heaven's Getting Closer." Anywhere from socially conscience, to tongue in cheeck, straight up rock and roll.

Lyrics
V.1 Always dreamt about being a star Get me a square on the boulevard Buy me a mansion, and a couple of cars An endless supply of cuban cigars V.2 Girls lined up outside my door Been waiting there since the week before Always leavin' 'em wanting more First, second, third encore Chorus: Don't need your sex, drugs, and rock n' roll Don't need a number one on the radio Don't your handshakes and phony smiles Don't need to know who's hot or what's in style Don't need your sex, drugs and rock n' roll V.3 Alway dreamt of that endless success Living life in complete excess Land me the cover of this year's best dressed Where I'm sleeping tonight is your best guess Chorus: Don't need your sex, drugs, and rock n' roll Don't need a number one on the radio Don't your handshakes and phony smiles Don't need to know who's hot or what's in style Don't need your sex, drugs and rock n' roll Bridge: Lying out on the private beaches On satelite, giving acceptance speeches Buy a second house for all my awards And a girl for every night, so i never get bored... Chorus: Don't need your sex, drugs, and rock n' roll Don't need a number one on the radio Don't your handshakes and phony smiles Don't need to know who's hot or what's in style Don't need your sex, drugs and rock n' roll Don't need a number one on the radio Don't need your glossy photos, and your rolling stone Or lawyers, and publicists living at my home Don't need your sex, drugs, and rock n' roll
