If I could sing, I’d be singing about how life gives to and takes from your soul. The soul is like a sponge: it longs to absorb all that fulfills it in order to give us a feeling of accomplishment or contentment. But when life takes without replacing, it leaves the soul dry and porous. (Maybe take a moment to picture this) This leaves us with the unnerving yet familiar feeling of emptiness. This song was written with the intention of capturing the emotional journey one encounters while trying to refill the pores of their soul.
